Nestlé Baby&Me – From content platform to e-commerce of children’s products: an evolution to meet the needs of mothers with children up to 4 years old.

Nestlé is the largest food and beverage company in the world and is present in 99% of Brazilian homes. Baby&Me is a Nestlé website that offers content related to motherhood and early childhood, with useful information for pregnant women and mothers with children up to 4 years old.

The sale of the products was carried out in a dispersed way in marketplaces and e-commerces of resellers. However, there was a need to create the Baby&Me virtual store, with a concentration of products on a single solid platform, exclusively for the commercialization of the children’s product line. With this in mind, the intention is also to create a database and customer contacts to generate engagement through digital marketing campaigns.

Through the partnership with WEBJUMP, Nestlé created the Starter Kit, an innovative solution that aims to create an ecosystem within its platform that allows the development of new virtual stores. The solution, previously used for the Nestlé Emporium, helped to build the shop, reusing the original architecture and enabling the creation of a new functionality, essential for the new project.

Taking advantage of all the knowledge acquired in the last year with the creation of the Starter Kit, the use of this tool was crucial for the success of the project. The architecture and most of the existing functionalities were reused.

Recurrence and subscription module

Contributing to the continued growth of the Starter Kit, a new subscription feature has been added. This type of purchase makes it possible to acquire products with monthly recurrence, developed to meet the specific needs of each stage of child development. It’s a convenient way to always have the necessary items on hand for each new stage of your child’s growth.

Time reduction – development in 5 months

The Lojinha Nestlé Baby&Me was developed with a 40% reduction in time compared to the Nestlé Emporium, both using the same solution. This generated an efficiency of 75% and allowed the new e-commerce to be completed in only 5 months, reducing the total development time by 1 month, considering the introduction of a new module.

Integration with Adyen’s payment system

Adyen is a unified commerce solution that enables the integration of payments from all retailers’ stores and channels into a single system. With this, it is possible to manage the entire payment operation with just one contract, in addition to having access to consolidated reports. With this solution, it is possible to get a complete view of the buyer across all channels, with rich data insights into their behavior and preferences.

Organic Results with Blog

The Baby&Me blog focuses on addressing issues related to motherhood, from the pre-conception phase to preschool, with the aim of helping parents on this journey. The content available on the website is the main way to attract customers to Lojinha Baby&Me, which takes advantage of the large flow of visitors to make sales, transforming the website into a highly relevant e-commerce platform. The typical navigation flow involves searching for content and then migrating to the sales platform, making it the main source of organic results.

Integration with ERP SYS

In order to centralize information on a single platform, an integrated management system (ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning) was adopted that interconnects all the company’s data and processes. Among the benefits of this type of system, we highlight the ease of communication between the sectors of the company and the possibility of carrying out more accurate analyzes.

New Nestlé product range

Through e-commerce, the brand is able to launch new products exclusively on its website, without the need for intermediaries such as markets or pharmacies.
