Starbucks E-commerce
Starbucks launches its first B2C e-commerce in the world with reach throughout the national territory, developed by WEBJUMP in Adobe Commerce technology.
The American multinational Starbucks has the largest chain of coffee shops in the world, with more than 30,000 stores spread across 80 countries. Since 1971, the company has been committed to providing high quality coffees, personalized service, a welcoming atmosphere and high connection with its consumers.
The collaboration between Nestlé and Starbucks gave rise to the Global Coffee Alliance, which joined forces between the two companies to transform, expand and generate new opportunities in the coffee segment. From this alliance, Starbucks® Coffee At Home was created, the first e-commerce of the brand dedicated to the final consumer in the world, which provides capsules and roasted coffees in a differentiated experience, as in the chain’s coffee shops. Now, for any region of Brazil, consumers can enjoy Starbucks coffees.
“When you work with a real team, there is no obstacle that cannot be overcome or success that is not achieved. They were intense months with many learnings on the way and seeing the delivery of the first global e-commerce of the Starbucks and Nestlé alliance, makes us believe that it is possible to dream big”, emphasizes Fagnem Rafael da Silva, Product Manager at Nestlé.

Key features of Starbucks e-commerce
First Starbucks e-commerce in the world
Previously, all Starbucks sites were institutional, thus, it was necessary to redirect the purchase to another site, which generated a loss in the sales force and a distance of its consumers in the digital environment. With the aim of promoting its results, Nestlé created Starbucks® Coffee At Home and Adobe Commerce, implemented by WEBJUMP, was the solution chosen to make this unprecedented plan a reality.
End-to-end UX and UI Design
Starbucks’ purpose has always been to provide the best experience to the end consumer, so the e-commerce was planned and structured through UX and UI Design strategies. In this context, the main sales reference was the Dolce Gusto line, by Nestlé itself. In addition, to achieve a result that spoke to the Brazilian public, UX Design studies were carried out to provide solutions that add to an experience that refers to values disseminated in the brand’s physical spaces.
100% dedicated squad
The implementation started in June 2021, was completed in December of the same year, and the e-commerce went live recently, in February 2022. With a 100% dedicated WEBJUMP team, the result is an elegant, modern digital environment that delights users by conveying the brand’s values.
Customizable PAAS Platform
Developed in Adobe Commerce, the PAAS platform for Starbucks products is fully customizable and has been reformulated ensuring the brand’s business needs, promoting greater autonomy to Nestlé, which performs all the project management. The solution also has several integrations for logistics, payments, and others, thus ensuring a simple and dynamic purchasing process.
Adyen integration
Adyen is a unified commerce solution that allows retailers to integrate their payments from all stores and channels into a single system. Thus, the entire payment operation can be managed with a single contract, and with consolidated reports. In this way, you can gain a single view of the buyer across all channels, with incredibly rich data insights into their behavior and preferences.
Fast Shipping Integration
Through Fast Shipping, it is possible to facilitate access to various delivery options, as the integration has partnerships with more than 600 carriers. The tool itself features filters that compare the best options, in addition to having other features such as volume consolidation, offline Post Office module, collection order, label printing and automated tracking.
Integrated Amasty Modules
Leader in Magento extensions, Amasty designs innovative solutions for e-commerce and over 13 years of history, has accumulated 120,000 successful cases worldwide. In Starbucks e-commerce, several Amasty modules were used, namely: Amasty FAQ, Custom Forms, Promotions Manager, Advanced Product Reviews; Blog Pro, Product Feed, Abandoned Cart, Shipping Table Rules and Mageworx SEO.
