Alpargatas Portal
Alpargatas reformulates its internal portal with a focus on UX/UI Design to boost its sales force.
Alpargatas is a global company, headquartered in Brazil and with more than 115 years of history. It has a portfolio composed of successful brands, such as Havaianas, the world leader in open footwear; the technology and innovation startup Ioasys; and it holds 49.9% of Rothy’s, a digital American brand of sustainable footwear. Its products are sold in more than 130 countries and the company is directly active in more than 20. With a vertical supply chain, six manufacturing units are located in Brazil and it has about seventeen thousand employees around the world.
Seeking to improve its processes, Alpargatas launched the reformulation of its portal dedicated to the brand’s internal salespeople. Developed by WEBJUMP, the construction of the new channel underwent several researches and UX/UI Design studies to achieve better usability, increase the speed in order management and promote the reduction of rework for its salespeople. In this way, Alpargatas salespeople now have a tool that is fully adapted to their needs through features that alleviate the pain of the old portal and facilitate the daily work routine.

Main features of the Alpargatas portal
Exclusive UX/UI design
WEBJUMP’s Design team carried out a series of studies to understand the pain of the old portal and achieve improvements that facilitate navigability and usability. The main focus of these surveys was the journey that brand salespeople took, from the initial stages to the closing and tracking of orders. Through the results obtained, solutions were implemented that made the interface much more consistent with the needs of sellers, as well as features that facilitate the day-to-day of sales operations between partners.
Frontend Design System
Design System is a set of standardizations of elements, components, rules and principles in order to unify the language of a product. This construction guides the development of interfaces and is constantly updated to promote consistency, standardization and identity of the Alpargatas sales portal.
MVP
The MVP (Minimum Viable Product in Portuguese) consists of a simpler and leaner version of a product, employing as few resources as possible to deliver the main value proposition. The central point of the MVP is to be able to optimize the use of resources in order to validate the return on investment, making it possible to have market insights and quickly test the receptivity in the market.
Application of business rules
In order to make it easier for all systems to communicate and be integrated with Alpargatas’ new sales portal, all business rules are accessed via API.
Internal Project
WEBJUMP develops digital transformation projects for companies that need to improve their online experience, whether for the final consumer or internal users. The Alpargatas project is exclusively for the company’s internal use for its entire sales force, in which access to the portal’s homepage is only done through a login and password.
Metrics for the business team
In the old portal, a lot of information was stored in external spreadsheets. To facilitate integration and management, a structure was designed that aims to list and metrify various data on the website itself, and thus, automate processes and promote greater generation of insights for the company and sellers.
General flow change
The entire flow of the portal was redesigned, with the organization and insertion of new screens. Among them, the Sales Order pages were created, which show the approvals in progress, summaries and material recommendation. The change in the flow brought new features and the simplification of the journey as a whole.
