E-commerces Raia Drogasil
Virtual stores of Raia Drogasil, the largest pharmacy chain in Brazil, receive optimizations for increased performance.
Created in November 2011 from the merger between Raia S.A. and Drogasil S.A., RD is the leader in the Brazilian pharmacy market, with more than 2,500 stores across the country. Being the largest pharmacy chain in Brazil in terms of revenue and number of stores, its integrated portfolio combines assets focused on health and well-being: RD Farmácias, RD Serviços and RD Marcas.
Seeking to improve stability and processes, RD relied on WEBJUMP to analyze the overall performance of its Drogasil and Droga Raia online stores, with the main goal of reducing page load times and increasing page speed scores. In this way, several improvements were implemented, in addition to updating the platform version, resolving bugs and creating preparatory demands.
Highlights
• Two stores in the same back-end

Main functionalities of the Raia Drogasil portals
Two stores in the same back-end
The RD network has two separate online stores for pharmacies Droga Raia and Drogasil. Despite this division, both share the same back-end, and thus receive the same analysis, updates and optimizations.
Adobe Commerce version migration
Droga Raia’s e-commerce was outdated on version 1 of the Adobe Commerce platform. WEBJUMP was responsible for migrating the project to version 2.3, which was an important milestone to ensure adequate support. Currently, both e-shops are updated to the latest version available.
Review of data architecture and use
The WEBJUMP team held several meetings to understand all the architecture, challenges and obstacles. Through technical analysis, it was possible to identify pain points, data, development patterns and metrics that provided the most assertive solutions.
Google Page Speed performance improvement
Performance-focused updates were made, such as improving non-web-optimized image formats, optimizing GTM containers, removing unused scripts and increasing CLS rating. These changes resulted in an improvement of the page speed score by 30 points.
Reduced page load times
The implemented optimizations also contributed to the decrease of the loading time from 20 to 12 seconds. This 8-second reduction was important for improving the user experience in RD’s online stores.
Bug fixing and strategic vision
In addition to acting on the stability and optimization of the pages, WEBJUMP was at the forefront in resolving bugs and creating preparatory demands. With this, RD has a strategic digital transformation partner prepared to act to correct failures and anticipate needs.
