In the market for 70 years, Elgin remains innovative and invests in the digital transformation of the brand.
Owner of a portfolio that has more than 12 thousand products and known for its quality, credibility and constant innovations, Elgin has been present in the Brazilian market for over 70 years.
The company, which started its activities in the sewing machine segment , currently has a wide range of products such as air conditioning, refrigeration, commercial automation, solar energy, lighting, IT, batteries and chargers and security and telephony. With such a variety of products, the company separates them by divisions such as “Air & Appliances” and “Consumer Goods”, for example.
Research that proves the growth of e-commerce, as well as a promising future for the sector, made Elgin start the company’s innovation and digital transformation process.
The objective of the project was to start digitizing the brand and fostering the B2B sales force. In order to guarantee more agility in the negotiation time, more automated processes, increase in sales volume, as well as provide a better shopping experience and make e-commerce a work tool for its customers. Elgin chose for its MVP (Minimum Viable Product) one of its business divisions: solar energy.

Main features of Elgin e-commerce
MVP: solar energy
MVP was born from the idea of building a simplified and lean version of a product , employing as few resources as possible to deliver the main value proposition of the idea. For Elgin’s e-commerce, the Solar division was chosen as the project’s MVP.
Direct Sale
Once a business owner registers on the Elgin website, offered two sales possibilities to him: a Direct Salewhere the integrator (merchant) makes the purchase and requests that the product be delivered to the address of his customer (final consumer), or the Joint Sellingwhere the integrator makes the purchase on Elgin’s site, includes the value of your installation service and asks that the product be delivered directly to your customer.
List of integrator end customers
Complementing the “Direct Sale” feature, this functionality compiles various data from the end consumers of each integrator, allowing the product to be delivered directly to the end customer’s address without the need to fill in the delivery information for all purchases.
Commission tracking dashboard for integrators
Aimed at commerce owners, called “integrators” by Elgin, the brand’s B2B e-commerce has a complete panel so that they can monitor their commissions.
Solar calculator
No idea how much material you will need for your solar energy project? With Elgin’s solar calculator, just indicate the amount of kilowatts you need and that’s it! The calculator will indicate the solar energy kit that most closely matches your project.
Integration with store ERP
By providing increased efficiency and facilitating communication between the company’s sectors , the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) management system allows integrated and reliable access to company data.
Integration with the PagSeguro module
Like payment method for the MVP, we chose an integration module from PagSeguro, which offers online debit for the banks of Brazil, Banrisul, Bradesco, and Itaú, boleto bancário, account deposit for Banco do Brasil, balance transfer between PagSeguro accounts and credit cards – for installments in up to 18 times.
